Saturday and Sunday Closed

We will be closed for these holidays:

  • Memorial Day: Monday, May 26

  • Juneteenth: Thursday, June 19

  • Independence Day: Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4

Hours may vary during holidays, Fall and Spring breaks, and summer.

Library Mission, Vision, and Goals & Objectives

Library Mission:

The Hill Freeman Library and Spruill Learning Center supports the intellectual development of Reinhardt University students by providing information-related resources and services and by teaching the information skills needed for academic success and life-long learning. Library services, collections, resources, and environment support the academic programs of the University and enrich the learning experience of the Reinhardt community.

Library Vision:

The Hill Freeman Library and Spruill Learning Center will be indispensable to learning, teaching, and scholarship at Reinhardt University.

Library Goals and Objectives:

Goals and objectives for the Hill Freeman Library and Spruill Learning Center are to:

♦ Be the center of teaching and learning pursuits for students, faculty, and staff at Reinhardt University.

♦ Select, acquire, process, maintain, and improve the collections and resources and the information services that create access to those materials.

♦ Foster the lifelong love of learning, enabling students to grow in independence, confidence, and resourcefulness.

♦ Provide resources and technology as a gateway for information, communication, research, and leisure pursuits.

♦ Provide a facility that is inviting, well maintained, secure and both intellectually and culturally stimulating.

Library Etiquette

We welcome you to the Hill Freeman Library and Spruill Learning Center. We want you to feel at home at your library, but we also ask that you follow certain courtesies that will make your experience, and the experience of other library users, more pleasant.

  • Food and drinks are allowed
  • Clean up any mess and throw away your trash.
  • Use a spill-proof lid for drinks.
  • Exit the library or go into an empty study room for phone calls.
  • Please set your cell phone to vibrate when you are in the library.
  • Be aware of your fellow library users. Keep noise to a minimum.
  • Students with school work needs take precedence over computer use for entertainment.
  • Headphones should be used for computer/phone sound. Keep the volume down to where it will not disturb others nearby.
  • Large study groups should use a study room.
  • The open areas are reserved for quiet individual and very small group study.
  • Bring back items that you have checked out by or before the due date.
  • If you need an item longer than the due date, come by, call or go online to renew the item.
