Supplemental material

An Appendix is if you need to include material that supplements the paper's content but would be distracting in the text.

This is only to help readers understand, evaluate, or replicate the study or theoretical argument being made.

Format:

  • Start an appendix on a separate page after references, tables, etc.
  • Label the appendix.
    • Just one? Title it Appendix
    • More than one? Appendix A, Appendix B
  • Title the appendix.
    • Short descriptive title
    • In title case
