Library Facilities

The Hill Freeman Library and Spruill Learning Center is a three story, 30,000 square foot library located in the center of Reinhardt University. Originally dedicated as the Hill Freeman Library in 1969, the facility was expanded, renovated and rededicated as the Hill Freeman Library and Spruill Learning Center in 2003. Further renovations which added study rooms, meeting rooms, a classroom, and a technology lab were completed in 2017.

Library Features by level include:

1st floor entrance faces the Hasty Student Life Center.  This area houses the entrance to the After Hours Library and includes lounge and table seating, as well as computers and a printer.

2nd floor entrance faces the Lawson and Tarpley Centers and houses the library's service desk, book and media collections, and the Ken White Faculty Resource Lounge. The periodical, leisure reading, manga, and reference collections plus the new books displays, the Archives and Special Collections room and staff offices are also on this floor.

3rd floor contains the open computing area, printer, group study rooms, a classroom, a technology lab, a conference room, a large community gathering room, the Children's Collection, and the Triplett Military History Collection. The terrace offers a wonderful view of the center of campus, as well as tables for studying outside.
